Dale Sproule is a writer, editor and reviewer. His fiction has appeared in Northern Frights, Tesseracts, Pulphouse, Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine and about 40 others. He has been nominated for the Aurora Award 8 times and 17 of his stories were collected in Psychedelia Gothique. After a 10 year hiatus, he has recently started writing and publishing again, with a story in the Exile Book of New Canadian Noir.
During the 1990s, he co-published and edited (with Sally McBride) a magazine called TransVersions – Literature of the Fantastic. He somehow got the opportunity to design the SFC logo although it may well have been an offshoot of his editing the SFC Newsletter through a number of issues.
He also sculpts in stone with his life-partner, Laura Belford. His stories and sculptures are obsessed with myth and archetype particularly in the places where death and heroism meet.
Dale currently lives in Toronto where he is looking for opportunities to rebuild old publishing paradigms for the new media environment. He keeps a website at http://dlsproule.blogspot.ca/
